Crystal T. Clark, MD, MSc is a board-certified adult psychiatrist and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Sciences with a secondary academic appointment in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. She specializes in mood and anxiety disorders and is recognized for her expertise in the treatment of women’s mental health across the reproductive life span.
Dr. Clark is a clinician, researcher, and educator who aims to optimize maternal mental health treatment. Much of her research has aimed to improve pharmacology management and establish dosing guidelines for perinatal women with severe mental illness including Bipolar Disorder. Her research has been funded through the National Institutes of Health and the PhRMA foundation. She's committed to educating the next generation of psychiatrists and is the co-director and co-founder of the advanced training fellowship, Women’s and Perinatal Mental Health in the Asher Center for the Study and Treatment of Depressive Disorders at Northwestern. She is also the first African American female Associate Program Director for general adult psychiatry residency training at Northwestern McGaw.
